A –

  • Adopted to indolent weary person averse to either mental or physical labor ; mental labor fatigues.

L –

  • Loss of confidence in sphincter ani ;

O –

  • Old people ; esp women of relaxed, phlegmatic habit. Extreme prostration with perspiration. 

E2 –

  • Every foot step aggravates the headache ; with heaviness of eyes and nausea .   Headache; are worse from heat, better from cold applications ;alternating with lumbago; after insufficient stool.
  • Early morning diarrhoea : has to hurry to closet immediately after eating and drinking.
S –
  • Stool: when passing flatus sensation as if stool would pass with it.
  Solid stool and masses of mucous pass involuntarily.
  Before stool, rumbling, violent sudden urging, heaviness in rectum.
  During stool, tenesmus and much flatus.
  After stool, faintness.

O – 
  • Obstinate constipation : profuse sweating and extreme weakness; attack preceded by. 
 
C – 
  • Colic : cutting, griping pain in right lower portion of abdomen ; excruciating, before and during stool ; all pains cease after stool.  
 
O – 
  • Offensive flatus, burning copious ; much flatus with small stool ; burning in anus after passage of flatus.
 
T –
  • Throat and rectum – mucous membrane produce jelly like lumps. 
 
R –
  • Rectum – haemorrhoids : blue like bunch of grapes; constant bearing down in rectum; bleeding sore Tender, hot relived by cold water ; intense itching 
 
I2 –
  • Itch appear each year, as winter approaches.  
  • Itching and burning in anus preventing sleep.

N – 
  • Nash’s mucous remedy
 
A – 
  • Angry and dissatisfied about himself or his complaints, esp when constipated. 
 
RELATION - Like sulphur in many chronic diseases with abdominal plethora and congestive of portal circulation ; develops suppresed eruptions.

AGGRAVATION - Early morning; sedentary life; hot, dry weather; after eating or

drinking; standing or walking.

AMELIORATION - Cold water, cold weather; discharge of flatus and stool.
